"Hi, I'm John Jackson from Remax Suburban in St. Louis, Missouri. I'm here today to talk about how to buy a house for Expert Village. In determining the type of home that you want to buy, location is the first rule of real estate, we hear that all of the time. My neighborhood is in Kirkwood, Missouri. It's a historic neighborhood and people buy in this location because of the charm and the history that the homes here offer. If your location of choice involves new construction this may not be the place for you because the new construction options are indeed fewer and far between and also therefore, slightly more expensive. But the geographic location is really the start of the entire buying process. Try to narrow some focus to your search so that you know the location of choice that would be best for you. There are so many different factors that go into that. The most common factor that I come across with as a real estate professional is family needs, whether it's being close to your extended family or having children be close to their grandparents. Another very common one is proximity to work. That is followed closely by proximity to shopping and convenience to highways. There are lots of different factors that go into the perfect location and obviously everybody has a different perfect location."
