"In this video clip we'll be cleaning and inspecting the gutters and down spouts. Now the gutters are another area that require a little extra attention. If your gutters are clogged and during the winter we get a big snow build up and it eventually starts to melt. The water is going to basically fill up the gutters and start running underneath the shingles. This will cause problems both to the shingles and the roof as well as the ceiling inside of the house if that water seeps its way down. In your gutters you want to look for build up of leaves or any other type of debris and to go ahead and remove those with your hands. In addition I always recommend taking a hose and shooting it down the gutter itself so that you have a strong rush of water to clear any debris out. You also want to remove all the down spouts and squirt some water in there and clean them out as well as you might need to take off a few of the other components and make sure that they are cleaned out."
