Video Transcript

"In this video clip I will be showing you how we will assemble our I-Beam. I am first going to start with our short boards and go ahead and line them up just to see what my I-Beam will look like. On the end of our I-Beam, we want a line going down the center of all 3 boards to make sure that it is lined up. So what I am going to do is take our combination square, set that on there on the center and draw a line. Once you have your lines drawn down the center of each board, you can go ahead and line it up. Now make sure you draw the lines on both ends of your I-Beam. When you have your lines lined up, go ahead and put a couple of screws down the length of the board. Once you have one side screwed down, go ahead and flip it over. Grab the other piece of the I-Beam and follow the same procedures putting a few screws down the center of it. When you are finished with the first I-Beam, go ahead and follow the procedures for our second I-Beam. When we are finished, we should have 2 I-Beams that look alike except for the length."
