Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be talking about our depth guide. Our depth guide which goes around our blade will let us determine how deep this blade is going to go. It will move back and forth to whatever distance you set it out. You typically want your blade to protrude past your material about an 1/8 of an inch. So if I measure my material here, it is 5/8's of an inch. If I add an 1/8 of an inch, that will be 3/4. I will move my depth gage up until there is 3/4 of an inch of blade sticking out above that depth gage. Now I will go ahead and tighten down that knob so that my depth gage will stay in place. Now my blade has been set for making my cut. "
