Planning the Shower Head Installation Project

" Hi! I am Drew Fenn professional home inspector. I am here for Expertvillage.com. Today, we are going to install a shower head and I will show you how and the video is produced by Black Dog Video. You can visit blackdogvideo.biz on the internet. Here is the project we are doing today. We are going to replace the shower head and it is a big shower area, so what I want to do is we are going to extend it out, put the new shower head on and we will put a switching device here so we can put a hand held sprayer on. Let me show you some of the equipment that we will use. Here is the new shower head, we will take the old one off. Put this one on but we want to extend it out so we are going to put an extension bar on, which will bring it out to here, so it may be over the head and also for someone taller it can go up. Now, to accomplish that we are going to put the switching device on, which will go here and it will switch from either the shower head or to the hand held. In the hand held we are going to mount approximately over here. We will put the bar on here as an adjustment and that is the project that we will have. So, it will greatly improve the ability and enhance the overall looks of the shower and utility of the shower."
