"Hi! I'm Drew Finn here for Expert Village. We are going to talk about standard hand tools and how to use them. Now we got some needle nose pliers. They are very handy to use for all sorts of things. Sometimes you need to fish something out. They are just pliers that come to a needle nose and most are about this size but they have all different sized ones. This is a standard size. So there are grips on here but the main thing is you can grab something and they are also cutters so you can also cut off a piece of wire. So you can use it to grab something, bend it or you can actually cut a wider gage wire off or softer wire. They are very handy. If you are going to a connection with a screw, you want it to wrap around the screw underneath the head. So you can take the wire and use the needle nose pliers to bend it around. See how we got a nice arc to that depending on the size screw you are going on to. Most of them are smaller than what I demonstrated. You don't want to just take an end like that and twist it around. What you end up with is sort of V shaped. What we want is for it to be round to match the screw. "
