"Hi! I'm Drew Finn here for Expert Village. Today we are going to talk about how to use and maintain a chain saw. We need safety equipment to maintain a good working environment. Gloves obviously to protect our hands. Ear protection, you want some good ear protection obviously. Eye protection and if you are going to do some serious cutting, I would get chaps. They are to protect your legs. These particular ones are made out of Kevlar. So if you come down with a chainsaw on your leg, you are going to open it up. To install the chaps one leg at a time, then we get the other one in, we pull them up, put the belt around the front and tighten it up and then down the bottom we can zipper up the bottom part and then we are safe. Then if a chainsaw comes in to cut, you've got some protection. So we put the chaffs on, we've got the safety glasses, we've got the head gear and we've got the gloves. So we put those on the chaffs and we are ready to cut. "
