"Hello, my name is Grady Johnson and I'm a professional painter. Today I represent expertvillage.com. Now we've gotten my favorite part of the job, the baseboards. It's my favorite part because it pulls the whole room together. So the first thing we need to do is get our tag cloth and start wiping down the baseboards from one side to the other. Just wipe it all down. OK, so that's really clean so I'm going to start in this corner and pull it this way. I like to pull paint more than push it. It just makes it easier for me to lap it off. Get yourself some paint, and once your ready to go, go ahead and cut that line out first and then pull it on up, just like this, get some paint on there and then work that line up where you want it. Now this has gotten kind of thick so we're going to work that paint on out, and you want to just cut that line on in. Now again you can tape this. You see the line is much easier to cut once you've thrown one out already. It's just a lot harder to push a line that it is to pull it. You do a little bit of bother to fill it in it your have to. Some of that will touch up if you have to. That was just a drip from when we did the window. That will happen, that's what punch out is all about. That's all it is, it's about cutting lines. Just work it in there until that line looks right. It's all about the way it looks, then move on. The main thing is to keep a wet edge and you shouldn't have any problems. These are just a few of the tips that you want to keep in mind whenever your painting the base boards in oil paint."
