"Hello my name is Grady Johnson and I'm a professional painter and today I represent expertvillage.com. Now were going to talk a little bit about breaking down a room. Now, when you're looking at the bathroom, you're going to want to look at the light fixtures, the door jambs also any other little knick knacks that were put up. A lot of times a lot of specialty items were put on the walls. When you're breaking down the room you want to take everything down that you're going to want to take out. Use your best judgment, it's your bathroom so go ahead and take down the things that you think are going to be in your way some things are a no brainer though. Take off the switch plates they are easier to paint around that way. Take off any faces that you don't like and of course the mini blinds always need to come down. Now with mini blinds the first thing you always need to do is get them up out of the way. so just go ahead and pull those up. Just pull the strings, it's not rocket science just pull them up. Once you get them up there just lock it in. There we go, now we want to just pop out the end of this. They're all a little different just go ahead and use your putty knife or five in one tool and knock that out. These are all a little different sometimes they're painted on. Just pop it loose and ready to go. Now once we get that other side of this its just going to slide on out. It?s got a little clip there so we can work it on out. Once I've got that done I'm going to go ahead and remove the switch plates, and I think these globes I might just cover them and paint around. These are just a few of the tips to keep in mind when you're breaking down a room to get it ready for painting."
