"Hello! My name is Grady Johnson and I am a professional painter and today I represent expertvillage.com . Okay I am going to talk a little bit about remodeling the living room. When you are remodeling the living room, you are going to have to move all the furniture and take off the stuff off the walls. Once we get all the stuff removed from the walls, do that first and move all the breakables into a safe spot. Some stuff you may want to take out of the room, other stuff you could put in the middle of the room like a coffee table and cover it up as long as it is not too fragile. So the first thing to do is to prepare the room. When you prepare that room, you want to take all the stuff off the walls and we will show you how to do that properly and then go ahead and disconnect all of your electronics and get the walls completely clean ready to work on. Okay after we get that done, we are going to show you how to take all that furniture and everything that you collected that you left in the room and move all that in the center of the room so that you can cover it. Once you've got that done and everything is broke down, you are going to see that all along this room before you start dropping off that you are going to need to sweep everything up and clean it up. These living rooms get really really dirty over time. So you want to be sure and do that and get all these dust bunnies out of the area. Now once we start painting, we are going to start with the ceiling and work our way down. That's the way gravity works and we don't want to try and defy gravity. So we will cut and roll the ceilings and then we will cut and roll the walls allowing at least an hour drying time in between and then we are going to start working on our trim. When we start to do the trim, we are going to start with our door jams and our doors. Now we paint the door jams first and get those done and then we go ahead and paint those doors. Now once we have the door and the door jam done, we are going to go ahead and paint the baseboard around the room. Do the baseboards last because they are going to pick up the most stuff off of the ground. Once we have that done, then we just wait for everything to dry and put the whole room back together. We are going to clean up all of our stuff and when we are done today, you are going to know how to completely remodel your living room. "
