"Hello! My name is Grady Johnson and I am a professional painter and today I represent expertvillage.com. Well today we are going to be painting the inside and outside of our house. So I am going to give you the tips and necessary steps to go through to be able to do this work. So we are going to talk a little bit about all the tools that you are going to need first for the inside and for the outside, the materials that you are going to have to have to do this job and a little bit about doing the work itself. How to actually apply the paint and what order to do that. Painting is a lot about working with gravity. You start at the top and you work your way down. Then it is a matter or organizing your work so that you can get through the day and allow for the drying time. We are going to break that down for you in this 30 part series. Now when we are talking about prep work, we are going to show you the difference between interior prepping and exterior prepping and what things you can let go and what things are very very important. When painting your house, there are a few things you need to think about. First of all you are going to need to prepare yourself and stretch out a little bit before you start this work. Whenever you are painting, you are reaching and grabbing a lot of times, you pull a muscle before you know it. Also, clean up your area before you start. Often times when you pull things out, it is going to be a real mess. Don't let that overwhelm you but you do want to straighten it up so you don't trip and fall. Now whenever you are working inside or outside, you want to be sure that you do keep yourself hydrated. This work will kind of carry you along. You do have drying time, you also have to move it at certain times so you do want to keep yourself hydrated so you don't have any kind of overwhelming accident or pass or something like that. So we are going to get started on our series and today we are going to look at how to paint the interior and exterior of your house. "
