"All right, now we have everything all covered up so what we want to do now is start working on the door itself. The first thing we want to do is take off this old hardware remember we were going to get this old door handle off. They are all a little different but you will notice this one has a little cap on it. You don’t see screws on either side like you do on a lot of them. There behind here, this is just a little cover. Now you will notice there is a little whole right here where we are going to be able to pop that out with a putty knife and then of course we got a couple of screws there. I am using a power gun today. We are going to pop these off. Now we are going to pop off that plate so grab our putty knife so you should have a duster in your pocket, a putty knife and rag at all times so just pull that putty knife out and you are going to pop that puppy off. These should just come off. It is just a plate that covers over that which we are going to end up replacing. These are all a little different. Some times the screws are just showing on either side here for you but you will notice on this one it has a little cover on it. This is a little more difficult but you can work with it. That is why you have to kind of keep a bunch of different tools. Your five in one is always your best tool. I recommend you use a five in one. Even a putty knife will work you want to get something in there, either a little screw driver. Just pop this cover off of and grab a bit screw driver and just sort of pop this thing loose. There we go. Just need to turn a little bit to get that out. Now we can pull that whole unit out and this one should come out as well. I am just going to put these down and pull out this post. You know, it is all done, well cleaned up and ready to work."
