"Hi, I’m Grady Johnson representing Expert Village.com. Okay now we are ready to paint the door and the first thing we need to do is prep. Prepping means everything when you are painting. Now you can see we are going to have a lot of work to do and a lot of stuff is going to fall off in here and we want to protect this floor. So let’s go ahead and do that with first of all I like to use some cardboard. I cut these up into straight little boards. You can just work with whatever you have. What you want to do is get some stuff that you can sort of put together like a puzzle underneath the door. I will show you how to do that real quick. Keep putting the squares up into the corner and it gives you a little overlap on your area and on the other side as well. Now of course over the threshold area we are going to want to have something there so if you just take these other little boards and pop those in there. Usually we get these off of the ears or wings that kind of things. Pop those in place. You see now that we have kind of a covered area in case things get messy. Okay so the next thing we are going to is to layout this drop cloth and this actually is what we are going to use to catch all the flakes. We want to get up underneath our door so that when we lay this thing down it is going to catch most everything that falls. We just fold up our runner. This is actually a long runner about 15 feet but we are going to go ahead and pull it up into a square and I have already done that. Let me pull this down here and lay it out in front of my door. You see I overlapped it a little bit because I had to go up underneath the door. I put my foot there, scoot that under it and then I run to the other side and go ahead and tuck that under the door. Once I get that up under there like that, pull back a little bit and anything that falls now should land on this rather I am working on this side of the door or the other side. It’s this side of course is where we are going to find most of it falling and we are going to find that almost all of that is going to hit right on this drop cloth. We will be able to shake it out later. "
