"GREG HAREM: Let's talk about oasis. Oasis comes in many forms, such as this brick which comes in many colors such as orange, yellow, this green in a very dark or--a neon green, actually, which is actually fun to use in this kind of arrangements 'cause you don't have to cover it, so it can actually be part of your arrangement. Now, all you do with this is just lay it on top of your water and let it soak. Never ever pour water on top of your oasis. It will stop the pores from drinking and you don't want to have dried pores in your oasis when you're putting your arrangement together. Because the flowers will not be able to drink and they'll die much, much quicker, and it only takes a couple of minutes just to let it soak. You want to make sure it's a nice dark green. That means it has absorbed as much water as it possibly can 'cause you want your arrangements to last for a good long time. But tropicals, they last between a week and a half to two weeks. They are one of your more long-lasting flowers. They are a little more expensive but they're actually worth the price. So next, I'll be telling you how to green your container."
