"Hi, welcome to Expert Village, I'm Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. So now what we're going to do is sew our hem in place. We’re going to start by coming up right on top of the seam that we put down the side to finish the edge so you can't stick things in there. My grandchildren love to stick toys in those when they're not finished. We're going to come up that line. Do a little back stitch, come back up and we're not going to pick the needle up we're going to leave it down. We're going to pivot the fabric and go the other direction. I try to turn the strings at this point because otherwise I forget and leave strings on there. So now we're going to come straight down the hem and you just want to be sewing about a quarter of an inch from your fold line. You want to remove your pins as you come to them. Try not to sew over them; it's really not great on your machine. Okay, as you come to this end you want to make sure it's nice and lined up. You don't want it off centered any. We have a hem in place."
