"Hi, welcome to Expert Village, I'm Gretchen Soares and today we're going to make a fancy four patch table runner. So in this segment we are going to sew together all the assembled units that we've made. We're going to be using quarter inch seam allowance and sewing down these seams that we pinned. We want to make sure that we trim our strings off after each seam so that we don't have a mess when we go to put these together. We're going to take these to the ironing board next. On each of these units we need to press the seam allowance to the dark side or to the printed solid side, whichever is easier so that they don't show through on the front. We're going to make a nice flat unit so it's easy to assemble with the other ones in to our table runner. To do this, we want our iron on a cotton setting and we want to make sure we're using a lot of steam because steam is what makes the heat stick and give us a nice finished product. Okay and we're ready to lay these out now."
