"Hi, welcome to Expert Village, I'm Gretchen Soares and today we're going to make a fancy four patch table runner. In this segment we are going to show you how to make this strip in to your four block patch. Okay, so now that we have these nice strips sewn together and pressed we are going to bring them back to the cutting board and lay them out along the lines again and we are going to make another three inch cut. So we're going to come down here, we're going to cut each of these three inches wide so we end up with a series of three inch wide pieces. Okay and each of these pieces off set together are going to create our four patch blocks. So we are going to take this to the machine and sew them together now. Now that we have these all cut apart, we're going to place them together, right sides together, right sides of the fabric together, we're going to sew it on the machine and we're going to use the width of the presser foot as our quarter inch seam allowance and we're going to go ahead and sew these. And then repeat until we have all twelve four patches assembled."
