"Hey everybody Don Golden for Expert Village and we're back with copper piping and we've cleaned the inside and the outside of the pipe that we're going to be soldering today or sweating and if you're going to use this copper as a true water application like if you are going to be redoing your bathroom or you're moving some pipes around this is another tool you might want to use. This really perfects the job. It is a cutting tool that has a swivel blade and a very sharp blade on the end. It is through the inside and what this does. I will show you. It takes off the lip. When you cut with your cutter you're going to get a lip that forms on the inside. Now what does that do and why is that bad? It slows down the flow rate of your water so a real professional is going to use this tool if he knows that you are going to be using this for water. So watch how this works, it's really simple. You are going to run it down along the inside and you're going to see a big strip of copper come off that looks like this, little shavings and it just perfects the end just so. Now that's the way you want a piece of copper pipe to look before you solder it. It's not going to impede any water flow. When we get back to you it is time for the fun part. We are going to start soldering soon but I want to show you how to further prep with flux. We'll be back in a second."
