" Hi I'm Drew Finn here for expertvillage.com we are going to show you how to install garage door opener today this is being filmed by Black Dog Video you could visit us at blackdogvideo.biz. Now we are going to install the electric eyes. We got a transfer and a reserver. They are installed down near the bottom of the door not more than 6 inches off the floor. Don't ever install them more then 6 inches off the floor. If the beam is interrupted when the door is going down it would stop and reverse. If you find that the door operates okay but it won't close unless you hold the button down then these are out of alinement's that would be one thing to check further down the line if it is not working for you. We got these brackets on the track for the garage door. They would snap on. These are designed they could be mounted to the wall. They could be mounted to the floor but you could just snap them right on the door itself they work really slick. We can install the electric eye on the bracket right here. First we slide the bolt in. carriage bolt. Just line it up. We slide it in this way make sure that the electric eyes are facing out and then we put a wing nut on there. So you just hand tighten them and we are good to go. We would run the wires around. We put the electric eye on the other side. Wiring them to the opener and then the electric eye safety thing would be completed. Now we are ready to staple this. I like putting a little services open here. I just twist it a few times so we have a little excess wire here in case in the future we have to splice in we have some wire to work with. So I got a little bit of services in here. Now we are going to start stapling the wire on. We got some staples and we are just staple it right in here. Now we put the staples in we want them firm but we don't want them so tight that you are going to pinch the wire and eventually going to break it. On these lock gage we want it to just barely pull it through and we are going to put these in every of couple feet and just so we don't have access wire hanging out and dress them all in and we connect them to the controllers on the garage door opener."
