" Hi I'm Drew Finn here for expertvillage.com we are going to show you how to install garage door opener today this is being filmed by Black Dog Video you could visit us at blackdogvideo.biz. Now we are going to assemble the slider on the rail and a drive chain. Actually in this particular unit it is a belt drive but the same thing. When you put the slider on make sure you got the orientation right. Keep referring throughout to you installation manual. This is suppose to slide to this direction to slide on backwards I think it is going to be messed up a later so little details like that you have to pay attention to. So the slider goes on here. We want to put a stop on that slider for later. Then we are going to put the pulley on which the belt would be going around. Now the pulleys that have tape on which is protecting the grease that is inside on the baron part of it. We are going to insert the drive chain threw the bar and bar and put the pulley on it. Now it is very important to have the orientation that is correct with the drive portion on the inside. You could remember it because on the other side you got the drive sprocket and that got to grab on to the teeth on here. So we put that through. We put the pulley on here. Drop the bolt through. We are going to but the lack washer and the nut on there and snug it up. We got a wrench on the top we got a socket on the bottom and we just tighten it. Good an snug. Don't go crazy getting it to tight. When it is done you want to make sure the pulley moves freely which it does. Now what we are going to do is hitch this into the rail that we put on before. Now we are going to take the drive belt. Carefully unwind it. Go down and around the sprockets and come back so we can tie unpin here. I'm unwinding it this way so we don't get any twist in it. Now we put the belt over the belt sprocket. Double check make sure we don't have any twist in the line and then carefully unwind it to get down to the traveler. The slide that goes up and down the rail that would eventually attach to the door so we can open and close it. Now we are going to put the master us a master link drive chain link like you have on a bicycle to connect your chain to your tensioning scroll. So we just put these together like that. You slide on a cover like this and it snaps right on. Actually it slides it doesn't snap and then there is a retainer clip and that is what actually snaps it on. So you just line it up. There is a little notches in there you probably need a screwdriver to be able to get the pressure on there to snap it on but now it is all snapped together so we have a good connection a little bit of flexibility. So we come up to the traveler, slide it in and we got this tensioning spring mechanism here which we just tighten up on. So we turn a quarter turn and that spring is going to automatically pop into place. Now that we got the tension a proper tension on it."
