"Hi I'm Drew Finn here for expertvillage.com we are going to show you how to install garage door opener today this is being filmed by Black Dog Video you could visit us at blackdogvideo.biz. Now what we want to do first is unpack all of the material. Lay it out. Check it against our instruction manual and make sure that we have all the parts that they call for. Now that doesn't mean that you are ready to go yet because sometimes like reenforcement for certain types of doors and stuff are not supply with garage door openers. So I advice laying this stuff out a day or two before you plan on doing a job. Look through it and pay particular attention to connection of the door, connection to the wall, and hanging the opener. So you could go out and get other parts as you need. What we did is we had to go out and get extra bolts for this particular type door. I like carriage bolts right through the door not lag right into it. If you are going with a very thin door you are going to reinforce your bracket which I contacted a door manufacture along you plain the jog and buy whatever reenforcement brackets that they have because uneditably on light doors it would break the top of the door the opener. So make sure that you have your manual go through all the doors are a little different we would show you how to put this one in and we are using on this one it is a belt drive instead of a chain drive or a screw drive. They are all good but belt drive is a little bit quieter and that is why we are installing it on this particular installation. When we laid out the opener we left it on the starfoam package just to keep it from getting scratched. We have the openers here which we won't need for a while. I left them in the packing. Our belt drive and then I laid out the rest of the equipment on the floor so we could make sure that we have everything and as we go through the installation process we don't have to start searching for this bolt or that bolt we could just look and know were it is and we could pull it up and really increase the speed which you get this installed."
