"WILLIE: Hi, my name is Willie. I'm from Carson Saw Shop here in Eugene, Oregon and I've been sharpening tools here for 25 to 30 years and I'm here with Expert Village today. This is one of our common tools. It's a hone stone. We use this to finish almost every tool that we've hand sharpen on the grinder. You have to use this to break the wire edges off by just going back and forth on it. Breaking that wire edge off to get a nice perfectly clean cutting edge. We have some other ones too. Some of them are diamonds that go on a flat sheet of metal and that's about all you need to--once in a while if you have a softer type metal and you want to remove that burr you can use a file but this does most of it and most of your hardware stores and stuff will carry all kinds of these."
