Sharpening a Sawzall Blade

"WILLIE CARSON: Hi. My name is Willie. I'm from Carson Saw Shop here in Eugene, Oregon and I've been sharpening tools here for 25, 30 years and I'm here with Expert Village today. I'm going to show you how to sharpen sawzall blades. Gotta get the right grit, or wheel, and the right hardness. Here's a good wheel here, so it'll partially dress to the shape I need, so I just have to get a quick [SOUNDS LIKE] true up on it. Have a little roller here that trims the wheel to the shape you want, and then, you just take your blade. These are [SOUNDS LIKE] bimetal teeth and they're ground flat across anyway, so you can just jump from tooth to tooth real fast. It doesn't take a long time to sharpen them, so it's totally economically feasible to sharpen a $5 or $6 blade this way. It doesn't matter if you have high or low teeth to some degree because they are varied tooth and they are kinda cut randomly anyway. So you get that good glossy cut on there, so that one's a completed one. It's always nice to have a large amount of 'em to do at one time because you can whiz through them pretty quick."
