"Now we're going to look at the growing and the care of your geranium in your garden. Your geranium needs sun, and lots of it. When you move inland, your geranium can perform quite well in filtered light, let's say underneath a tree. It would need about four to five, to even six hours of scattered light to have it bloom. This plant comes from a Mediterranean climate, which means that if you live in an area of the world that freezes during the winter time, you must protect this sweet little plant from a frost. You can either mulch it, you can cone it, you can move it indoors to a greenhouse or your home. You can move it close to your home, underneath the tree, but do protect it from the frost. When you water your geranium try to keep all of the water off of the leaves, and when you water, remember to water early in the morning or in the late afternoon. Now the early Europeans found many different reasons for this wonderful growing, colorful perennial in your garden. Now, you can use this for scents, perfumes, oils, food preparation, and some even said that this sweet perennial deters mosquitoes. What a wonderful, colorful addition to anyone's garden."
