"Hi, I?m Danny from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village I?m going to show you how to use and maintain a electric hand drill. I?m going to talk about now direction of a drill. Basically there is lock, there is forward. Forward is spinning clockwise and then there is reverse which is kind counterclockwise. So when you are drilling you almost always have it on forward, but if you have to reverse like you are taking a screw out or pulling a drill bit out or if you are actually using the reverse drill bits to abstract bits or bolts. The screw abstracter's to you would be using it in reverse. But typically for all these applications you would be, you would have it in forward. That is how you control the direction on the drill."
