Video Transcript

"Hi! My name is Danny and I am from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to use and maintain a bench grinder. All right the first thing I am going to tell you about today is the safety on using a bench grinder. You want to make sure before you actually turn it on, you want to make sure the nuts are tightened down because you don't want the wheels to fall off. If you have the guards, you want to make sure that they are down or if you are wearing safety glasses, you want to make sure you are wearing them. You want to make sure too that the wire doesn't have any breaks or cuts in it where you plug it up and make sure that it is on a solid surface too because these things will shake a lot. You want to try not to wear gloves because usually if you have gloves on and you get caught by one of these wheels, it will suck your finger in. "
