" Okay, so our next step is to tape off our trim. We have decided that this little quarter inch molding we’re going to paint the same color as our walls and also our ceilings are going to be the same color as our walls. As Craig was explaining earlier, the reason we’re doing this is because this is a low ceiling and it’s not that attractive. So if you paint it the same color as the wall, it’ll keep the ceiling from standing out so much when you walk into this room. However, this wall is going to be a different color than this wall, so we want to tape off this wall. Then over here we want to tape off our trim because this is going to be white. We’ll also be painting our baseboards white, so we’ll tape our baseboards as well. What I like to use is blue painters tape. You want to make sure you get this kind of tape because it is made for trimming out, for taping where you don’t want your tape to hit and it will make sure that it doesn’t peel off any paint that’s already there. I’m just going to go ahead and start from top to bottom. I’m going to get a length then I’m going to tear it off. You want to make sure that you get on the edge and that you’re not hitting any of the wall where you’re actually going to want, in our case, the khaki color paint on the wall. "
