" Hi! I’m Paige and today we’re painting my back room office redecoration. The first thing I’m going to do before I Spackle anything or sand anything is put down a drop cloth. There’s a lot of different types of drop clothes. There are these plastic drop cloths, which I got for like 3.50 at my local hardware store. There’s also blue plastic drop cloths, this one I’ll throw away. You can also get heavy-duty drop cloths; it’s just kind of up to you. If you’re going to keep reusing it then I suggest maybe getting one that you’re going to pay 13 bucks for and keep. In this case, I’m just going to use this one once and I’m going to throw it away. It’s a 9x12 and it should fit this room. So, the first thing you want to do to be able to put down your drop cloth is remove everything in your room except for maybe a work table that you can put your paint and brushes and tools on. What we’ve done is clear the entire space. Now, I’m just going to roll out my tarp and start with a corner. My one table I’m using I’ve draped with a cloth so that paint doesn’t get on it. it’s really important to tarp your floors, especially when you’re painting ceilings so that the paint won’t drop and get on your floors and have a big mess.
