"Now our panel has dried twenty four hours. Whenever you put a paste wood filler on you have to let it dry twenty four hours. It sits in the grain and then the stain won't take it back out. We're still not happy with this color, so we're going to add some more color and definition to it. The first part we do is take a little bit of lacquer thinner and we're just going to wipe it down gently. Any residue from the swirl marks that we put on yesterday will come off. Now we've got that part clean, we're going to apply the stain. This is an alcohol based stain, and it gives a lot of clarity to the grain. I'm just going to go back and forth three or four times. Each time I go across it gets a little bit darker. The good things about alcohol based stains are it dries very quickly. Now we've got a little more color built up, we've got the filler in there, we're adding color each step, and we're slowly building the finish up. The next part of the process we'll do is to seal this all down, and protect it."
