"One of the main things that drives the Pool Vac Ultra is the suction hose. That is what goes from end to end and goes into your filter and provides removal of the debris and steering and also the power to the cleaner. Now obviously the assembling of it is pretty straightforward for the cleaner, male and female put together. Now that went together pretty easy but most of the time the trick is this. When you are assembling at poolside, take both ends, dip them in the water and they go together super smooth. This part over here that has the orange sticker is called he leader hose. This believe it or not is an intrical part of running the cleaner. The steering happens here in the sense that when you assemble it properly it will grab on to the cleaner and the cleaner will spin underneath it while the liter hose and the cone remain constant. Again constant and move. So when you get it new and there is a slight taper to this, push it on, there you go, nice and hard so that it can move. If it has got to be removed from the pool, don't take off the liter hose. The more that this comes off, the quicker it will break. If you are storing it, store the cleaner like this. Also keep the hose nice and long, never coil a pool cleaner hose. For any cleaner it just will affect the performance. Nice and hard, steer the cleaner, everybody's happy."
