"In this series we're going to be talking about the Hayward Pool Vac Ultra its care, maintenance and repair. This, is a wonderful gadget. This is an automatic pool cleaner. Basically what it does is it runs around your pool and takes care of all the things that you don't want to do or pay somebody else to do. Some basic characteristics of it that you'll need to know in order to maintain and repair it and some of the terminology used to describe it. First is the wings. Now, when it's running around the pool, it's going to clean from tip to tip on the wings and it goes in circle motions, so it spends the time going toot, toot, toot, toot, toot, and reversing circles, toot, toot, toot, toot, toot. Well, not actually making those sounds. Also you will see the flaps here and here. This is what creates the pressure zone for you to do the sucking and this is where all the debris goes. We'll get to it in a second where, how it actually goes through it but once it goes through it enters into a turbine and goes right up into your pool system. So, between the main hub, the wings, the flaps, the pods, this is your pool vac ultra."
