Removing the Pods of a Hayward Aquabug

"Another part that you may have to replace or deal with from time to time are the pods. Let me show you how you are going to replace those. The pods are these guys right here on the side of the cleaner. Now may find that they are bowing or their cracking or there, that you cleaner is going around in circles. So you want to take these off to a least inspect them. And here is how we do that. First we have got to remove the wings and that is pretty easy. Get a flat head and take out the little pop out there. Over the hook, over the hook and around the nipple. And then you want to repeat for the either side. Around the hooks and pop it out and put it aside. Now to get inside of here you?re going to need a quarter inch nut driver. Well it just so happens that my cordless drill as well as yours if you take the little number two out here. The thing that holds the bit is a quarter inch nut driver. So all were going to do is put it on reverse place it deep inside and, you want to make sure that your torque is up a little bit, a little bit more. Sometimes there set in there good and pull the retaining screw out. Around and repeat. And then there. Now the trick to actually getting them off is your flathead. Straight down in there and you just want to push and give a little, little turn and they will come right off. And again. Wedge and turn just a little a bit. Boop. And now you have your pods together for inspection replacement or repair."
