How to Fill in Insulation Holes with Expandable Liquid Filler

"So this is the second step with blowing insulation into existing walls. You already have these holes cut in the wall and the insulation is all blown in and you need to patch this hole. There are a few options and the one that I am choosing is to fill it with expandable liquid foam such as Great Stuff into this hole. How can I push back the blow in the insulation a little bit and I apply this blowing it kind of directly at the drywall edges themselves so that it performs a seal like that. We are going to take it all the way around the outer edge. Now if you’ve never used this stuff before it expands to approximately double the size of how much you spray in initially and it will harden and once it does that it will have the consistency like Styrofoam. So once it expands I will make a big ball up here and use like a bread knife to cut it off and from there we will spackle it, sand it and paint it. "
