"Okay, here we're going to talk about balancing the bromine level in your spa. Same thing, you take your test strips, dip it in the water, bring the test strips out of the water, compare the bromine content with the color code on the strip. And as you can see here, we are very low on bromine, so it means we need to add some. The bottles and the manufacturer will tell you how much to add per how many gallons in the spa. And you would simply follow those directions. In this case, we're going to add approximately one tablespoon of shock treatment to the spa. Turn your jets on for a little while to disperse that. And that's all you need to do to add the shock to the spa. The reason we bring that bromine level up is simply to maintain proper sanitizer level, so that algae and bacteria do not have a chance to grow in the water for your safety."
