"Hi I'm Betty Ingham and I'm speaking on behalf of Expert Village. Most Victorian houses have a formal living room which was called a parlor in fact there is a story of a 103 year old friend. Telling that she would stay at the top of the stairs and she looked in here and she saw the friend that she was staying with the brother proposing to his girlfriend in here. So the parlor was used for many formal gatherings however we didn't want to put a TV in here we wanted to use it as our music room. So we have our instruments in here a Ucella, banjo and a guitar and we sit in here many evenings just either playing the piano, the organ or our music. And just because it's a Victorian parlor does not mean that you have to just use it for a formal living room."
