"Hi! This is Brian Carter on behalf of Expertvillage.com. I have 10 years of ceramic tile installation experience. Today I am going to show you how to make an exterior circular cut. Okay we have our mark for our outside circle cut. What we are going to have to do is we’re going to have to take off chunks at a time on the outside. We will do some straight cuts to do that, that’s what we need to do first, because we cannot go around with the blade and cut in a circle without it breaking the tile into a larger chunk and that is useless. So here we go we are going to take off some chunks, nice and big ones here. It looks like we are going to do one more and that ought to be enough, the small parts that are left are small enough that as we go around they will just break off harmlessly we will just have a nice smooth circle cut. So we are just going to come around in a nice circle, we are going to start parallel and just spin it around nice and easy. The funny thing is I have come across many tile setters that did not actually know how to do this, and I was quite amazed. Pretty basic, but I’ve been on several jobs where the tile setters want to kind of segmented square cut to make a large circle. I said let's do it round, like it supposed to be. They said “you do it” and I said “fine.” So you can do that too, it turned out beautiful. You can see I am using one hand but you might have to use two to be careful not to cross it over in front of that blade. Here we go, a nice round cut that looks beautiful."
