"Hello! My name is Taylor Honkofsky and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we're talking about 7 card stud. In this segment, we're going to talk about a hand known as the straight. You're going to get your first 2 cards and then your fun card up. We're going to look at these because this is our hand. Right now, we're not really working with much. Ace high is what we have out of the 3 cards, but we're probably going to have to bring in the bet because the 6 is pretty low, or maybe we'll just call the bet just to see the next card. Okay, we have a 5. That actually helps our hand a lot because you make a straight a couple of ways. You can make a straight ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, or you can make a straight 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. It helps our hand a little bit. You probably want to see another card, chase it down, try to see if we can catch something. And we catch a pair of 5s, which gives us something else to work with. So we have a couple different opportunities here. You're probably going to see another card. There's a pretty good card. We're getting close to that straight. We got 4, 5, 6. We need a 3 for the straight. Hopefully we'll hit the 3 on the last card. And what do you know, the 3 is there, you have a straight. You want to be careful. The straight that you have is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. It's a low straight. It's not a high one. If somebody has 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, it's a losing hand. You want to be careful, but it is a straight. It does beat a lot of the other hands and most of the time you will win with something of this nature. Thank you for watching."
