"Hello! My name is Taylor Honkofsky and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we're talking about 7 card stud. I'm going to go over two pair right now. Okay, so we've dealt our first two cards down and one card up. This is the second best hand in the chain of hands. The first is a pair and as you can see, we have a pair of 10s underneath, and this is great because nobody knows we have this pair of 10s. So it's very deceiving, which is good when you're playing poker. They just see the 4, which is very unintimidating, so you're looking very weak, but in fact you're very strong. Your next card comes out. You have an 8. Now you're also 3 to a flush so you need 5 to complete the flush. We'll talk about that later. You still have the pair of 10s as well. Next card comes out, it's a 7. It doesn't really help your hand very much, but you're still pretty strong with this pair of 10s. Then the queen. You're getting a little bit worried. You haven't made anything past this pair of 10s. If you're looking around at the table and you see somebody can beat a pair of 10s, it's probably a good idea to fold. If you want to try to catch up and chase, you can definitely chase and try and see what happens on the river. The river's going to be face down, but we're going to look at it because it's our hand. It's going to make 2 pair. This hand is very deceiving because your 4 cards up here it doesn't look like you have anything, but in fact you have 2 pair and it's very deceiving. Another name for this that you'll hear people use. This is called queens up, which is 2 pair. You're saying queens up because the queen is the higher card. It wouldn't be 10s up, it would be queens up. This is a pretty good 5 card hand for 7 card stud and you have a good chance of winning with this. Thank you for watching."
