"Some of the common mistakes you may experience while learning how to front side 50/50 on a flat bar or some kind of a rail, basically has to do with the fact that until you actually ollie into it and land in a grind, you're not going to really be able to test this trick at all. Since there's no way to kind of put your board up here and grind on it to test it, the only time that you actually first grind is by actually ollying into and testing it. So, a common mistake is to get on top and really not know what you're doing. So, what you're going to want to do is test it and test it as much as you can to make sure that you end up having control and knowing what you're doing. Another mistake that people commonly make is as soon as they get in the front side 50/50 position like this, they end up putting their weight on their heels and then having it slip down like this. This is a bad way to end up on the front side 50/50 on the flat bar, because what will happen is your heels will end up on this side of the rail and your weight on this side of the rail, and it will cause you to fall. So, you really want to watch out for that one the most. So what you're going to do is, make sure that your heels are just slightly on this side, and then once you're locked in the position, you can flatten the 50/50 out to travel some kind of a distance and ride the speed out on the grind. So these are just a few of the common problems that you may experience while learning how to front side 50/50 on a flat bar."
