"Hello! My name is Steve Kennedy on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to be showing you some tips and techniques in solving Soduku puzzles. We're going to be showing the stategy of single candidate. We're going to start off using this row here. As you see, 1-9. This could be a 1, that could be a 1. This could be a 2 and that could be a 2 in this row. Because you can only go 1-9 in each of the blocks, there's already a 1 inside this block so this can't be 1, which means that this has to be a 2 logically. So that has to be a 2 and obviously this is a 1. For single candidates, you can be doing that throughout the puzzle. It's another easy strategy that you can do just by looking at it in your head rather quickly without making these little notations. It's a powerful way to start off your puzzle and it'll really help you as you start into the more difficult ones. This is always a good way to start using the single positon and the single candidate strageties. As we touched on in this example, in our next clip, we'll be going over pencil marks. "
