"Talking about flint glass, more specifically, talking about early American pressed glass, my best recommendation for you would be to go and look at Victorian Glass by Ruth Webb Lee. She is the reading authority on pressed glass and what we're talking about more specifically is flint glass. It's all in these books. This book was written around 1944 but there are reprints and because of copyrights we can't open and show you pictures, but I can talk to you about it. Most of what you're seeing here, in fact everything you'll see here today, you can go into her book and find. What it does is give you numbers of examples so that you can go and take a look if you want to collect flint glass or any early American pressed glass, I recommend that you go and sit down and take a look at her books. I have a number of other books here; A Collectors Encyclopedia of Pattern Glass or Early American Pattern Glass. Which you can find a lot of these books at Barnes and Noble or on the net you can find them, they’re easily accessible. I highly recommend if you're going to do this to educate yourself a little bit on glass in general and then you can find a pattern that you really like and that's where the fun begins."
