"So talking about prices when you collect flow blue, there is quite a wide range because you are talking about a period of time from the 1820's right up to the 1940's so there is a huge price range in collecting. There are patterns that are more desirable that will cost you more money even though they are later patterns. If they are patterns that are really desirable, people will pay more money for them. When you talk about the 1820's, we have the handles cup and saucers and they range anywhere from $80 to $150; somewhere in the $150 to $200 range depending on the condition of the flow blue so about a $150 is average for a very good conditioned cup and saucer. The waste bows in good condition you can assume that you are going to pay for a waste bowl like this nice flow blue, bottom is nice and clear, no cracks or chips. On the inside is very clear would cost you in the range of $125 to $150 for that waste bowl. A plate of this size in the early 1820's, 1830's pattern would cost you anywhere around $80 and $20. The same as you go up in size the plates can vary anywhere from $125 up to $300 to $400. Here you can see some smaller plates. This soup bowl even though it is a later pattern and is in excellent condition, it has some crazing on the back, no chips and is priced at $135. This pattern here which is older pattern, very clear, soup bowl clean priced at $95 and if you look you can see there is no chips or no cracks. There is very minimal amount of crazing. One of those desirable patterns so you are paying in the $135 range."
