"When looking at ruby stained glass one of the things I would want to just go over with you on is the souvenir pieces which were popular toward the end of the era ruby stain glass. Somewhere around the early 1900's and some pieces like I have here is late as 1949 this says Craig on it and it says 1949 which is one of the latest pieces I've found out there. I'm sure there are probably more but most of this is earlier part of the 1900's and you can see this one here which is another cup that says Kenneth on it. And you'll find that some of them will be we'll talk about the place where they went, this says Marlo it looks like New Hampshire on here so some of these souvenirs will tell you the place where they were at, it'll give you a date like this one does. It will also give you the name of the person that might of been a gift for so in the souvenirs so heres another example here that says To Nelly this might of been a gift to Nelly when they were visiting this park around the 1900's. So that's another example of the souvenir pieces and heres one to which is souvenir and this compliment of FF Pier this is Canadian Frere it's a cream and sugar and later flash glass here this is the creamer and we have the sugar down here which is also signed as a souvenir piece French Canadian. So when looking your looking in your book for references you can help this helps date and give you a price range one of the things that I think is fun is when you start collecting souvenir pieces like this, this one is from my home town. You can find them in your home town and most of them some of these are more popular in the areas where people went to fairs or focal points during that period of the 1900's. These actually say Shelving Falls Mass on them there highly collectible in my area because there my home town. So you might find when you collect this you might want to seek out some ruby flash glass from your area or your home town so these are nice examples of local ruby from my home town."
