"Talking about collecting ruby stained glass I have some examples I can show here to you and we're talking about it's period of time as it reached its popularity during the late 1900's the late 19th century into the 20th century. And this is glass that was produced by the ruby stained glass was painted with the chemical solution which included sulfide copper when exposed to a high chem temperature of about a 1000 degrees it would turn coloring adhere to the surface so this is what you see adhere is the color here to the surface. They would take blanks some examples would be manufacturers would take blanks of table ware that was made during that period. Large amounts of table ware and just add this ruby flash to it so that was some of the ways that we can see that this flash was applied to the ruby staining here and you can see it down in some of these here. You can see it down in some of these here's another piece of a example of a water cup with a heavy ruby staining or ruby flash. So that's just to give a background on how this was made in the period of time that it was made and we'll talk about the different shapes and sizes in this series."
