"Okay, now you need a drill for practicing the draw shot. This little drill, right here, very similar to the ones we've used before. We're going to use that same setup for learning how to draw the ball. So we're going to start out like this. Object ball up by the corner or the corner pocket once again, cue ball starting adjacent to the first diamond. And our objective now is to draw the cue ball back to at least it's starting position but, preferably, no further than the next diamond back. So, we're giving ourselves an objective here. We want to draw from this distance say, to up in here. So, you would just start practicing that for the speed you'd need just to go that far. So there we go, we went beyond the first diamond, just about half way to the second one, that's fine. But now, it gets a little more difficult because what you're going to have to start doing is moving the cue ball back. From each spot, you want to be able to, starting from this position, draw back at least this far as your starting position if it were here, and maybe no farther than the next diamond up. And you just keep doing that until you get all the way back here and then your able to shoot the ball and draw it all the way back to at least this starting position right here. Very difficult, but it can be done. I've done it plenty of times, myself, but I'm not going to show it to you today."
