" Hello! This is Ross on behalf of expertvillage.com. Resistors come in different values and this schematic that you are following will tell you what size you need. So for instance right here this is in fact the schematic symbol that would see on a piece of paper drawing for a resistor. They will have a value written on it, like 2K or something. See the part on measurements, kb in 1000. Well, you see that you can go okay I need a resistor. For instance here are resistors what value are they. There are some other resistors, the bands on them determine or tell you what their values are. So resistors built to be a certain value and each band then gives you the number this is red that is two, the next one is red that’s two and there is yellow that’s four. So in this case that means two, two, zero, four is the yellow number so it will be 22 followed by four zeros or 220,000 what we referred to is 220K. So learn your color codes so that you can read them your packages will tell you what the codes mean or you can look it up on the internet, it is easy to do and the small resistors are color coded. The big resistors like this does go ahead and print rate on them what they are. This one states 75 ohms and that symbol for ohms is its measurement. "
