Summary: Learn why it is important to re-brush your horse before a horse show - free video.
"Hi my name is Sarah Stetner, I'm a expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village and in this video I'm just showing you how to prepare for showmanship. So I went ahead and showed you how to band in the last segment and so now I'm going to go ahead and show you how to brush the horse, re-brush the horse, it is something that I do right before I go into the ring. I showed you you would brush him about four times already and then I gave him a rub down with my bare hands. So just before I go into the ring I just want to make sure that he is all brushed and looking ready to go before I put a showmanship halter on him and then I practice him a little bit and then I enter my class. So you just want him to shiny as possible. The hoof all blacked up ready to go. His face make up is on. I missed a spot down here and also another thing I use clean brushes when he is clean. I have different brushes for the barn use, when he is dirty like he is because he hasn't had a bath and the other like his show use he gets cleaned brushes because he is clean when we use those brushes on him. So he has two different types of brushes. So I just re-brush him before I go into the showmanship ring. "
