"Hi my name is Sarah Stetner, I'm a expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village and in this video I'm just showing you how to go ahead and prepare for showmanship. There is a lot of steps and once again you want to go ahead and clip the horse. I'm going to show you how to clip the horse's leg, so you want to go ahead and clip the horse at least probably I would say about 3-4 times during the year just to keep them, so that they are not really shaggy. So as you can see he has a lot of hair. So you just want to go ahead and trim him up. I have these battery powered clippers right here but you do want to blend it. So you don't want to totally make it so short in one area, you do want to kind of want to blend with the leg up here as well. You can use bigger clippers. We do have really actually bigger clippers for the leg hairs. This is kind of sort of like the face but I can't find my big clippers right now so I'm just kind of showing you how to blend it. You want to go ahead and get this area right here were there is a lot of hair and I will be doing this for all four legs, kind of clipping and blending. So that is how you clip a horse's leg. "
