Summary: In this clip learn how to practice showmanship and trotting to a stop with your horse.
"Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this video I'm just showing you how I practice for showmanship to get ready for it. I do have a little whip right here and I'm showing you just like a overview what showmanship is as well. So I'm going to go and show you how I would like to go from a trot to a stop. How you want it smooth looking and how you want the horse to go ahead and stop with you. Holt. That was a good stop. If I do want him to stop quicker with me I go ahead and tap his chest and tell him woo. That is right after I stop though. Holt. So like right there I wanted him to stop right with me. He kind of went forward a little bit more so you saw me pop him a little bit. So one more time. Holt. That was a nice stop. I stayed right here at his throat latch my shoulder and now I'm ready to set up or do a haunch turn, or do whatever I want to do. That was a perfect setup. So if I get after my horse a little bit he is not going to hate me it just makes him perform better. So that is going to a trot to a stop."
