Video Transcript

" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this video I'm just showing you how to practice for showmanship and some tips on actually performing showmanship. So I did show you the quartering system I hope you guys did get that. But, now I'm going to show you where you want to be when you want to lead the horse. So you want the horse always right with you. You want your shoulder right here at his throat latch or pull area. You always want him right here at all times. Holt. I'm just going to go ahead and demonstrate a hodge turn and come back. You always want him right here at the walk and at the trot and doing in other patterns. When you want him to stop you do want him here as well. So I would show you that. Holt. He should fallow your shoulder. When you are showmanship you want him to stop you want to go ahead and face him. That way when you get ready to go he knows. You kind of want to lean forward a little bit with your shoulder when you get ready to move. So that is where you want to be right here. You want your shoulder right here when you lead the horse."
